HMS Crescent (1894) CC  (10th)

    
This the tenth ship to carry the name HMS Crescent was a first class protected cruiser.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, laid down 13-Oct-1890, launched 30-Mar-1892, and completed 22-Feb-1894.

On completion served as relief ship on the China and Australia Stations 1894-95. Then went to the America & West Indies Station as Flagship 1895-97. Returned to the UK and went into reserve at Portsmouth 1897-99.

Returned to the America & West Indies Station as Flagship 1899-1902 after which she again returned to the UK and reserve at Portsmouth 1902-03.

Refitted at Thames iron Works 1903-04. then moved to the Cape Station as Flagship 1904-07. Returned to the UK at Portsmouth 1907-13.

Joined the Training Squadron at Queenstown 1913-14. Served as Flagship Northern Patrol 1914, guardship at Hoy 1915, Portsmouth 1015-17.

Used as Submarine Depot Ship, Scapa Flow 1917-18, and Firth of Forth 1919.

Sold 22-Sep-1921 and broken up in Germany.
