This the eleventh ship to carry the name HMS Crescent was originally launched as HMS Glory one of six Canopus Class battleships.

Built by laird Shipbuilders, laid down Dec-1896, launched 11-mar-1899 and completed Oct-1900.

Glory served as Flagship China station 1900-1905, then with the Channel Fleet in 1906. Then short spells with the Reserve and Home Fleets until joining the Mediterranean Fleet 1907-1909.

Renamed HMS Crescent 01-May-1920 and used as a depot ship.

Sold 19-Dec-1922 for breaking up.
