HMS Crescent (1920) (11th)

This the eleventh ship to carry the name HMS Crescent was
originally launched as
HMS Glory one of six Canopus Class battleships.
Built by laird Shipbuilders, laid down Dec-1896, launched 11-mar-1899 and completed Oct-1900. Glory served as Flagship China station 1900-1905, then with the Channel Fleet in 1906. Then short spells with the Reserve and Home Fleets until joining the Mediterranean Fleet 1907-1909. Renamed HMS Crescent 01-May-1920 and used as a depot ship. Sold 19-Dec-1922 for breaking up.
