HMS Lively (1941) DD  (15th)

    
This the fifteenth ship to carry the name HMS Lively was an L Class, destroyer.

Built by Cammell Laird, laid down 20-Dec-1938, launched 28-Jan-1941, 20-Jul-1941.

On commissioning went to the Mediterranean to the forming 13th Destroyer Flotilla.

Served mainly with Force K from Malta.

Bombed and sunk 11-May-1942 by German Ju-88's south of Crete.

Won the Battle Honours: Atlantic 1941, Mediterranean 1941, Malta Convoys 1941-42, Libya 1942 and Sirte 1942.
