Wooden Screw Gunboat 4-gun

    
This the twelfth ship to carry the name HMS Lively was an Albacore class, 4-gun, wooden screw gunboat.

Built by Smith of Newcastle, laid down 15-Oct-1855, launched 23-Feb-1856 and completed 11-Apr-1856.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Wrecked on the Dutch Coast 23-Dec-1863.

Later salved, and renamed Helgolanderin, a German mail steamer.
