HMS Swiftsure (1804)  (6th)

This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Swiftsure was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built by Adams of Bucklers Hard, launched 23-Jul-1804, 173ft long, 48ft wide and of 1,724 tons builders measurement.

Fought at Trafalgar, where she suffered light damage with 9 of her crew killed and 8 wounded. (see: Fleets after the Battle).

Used as a receiving ship from May-1819.

Sold 18-Oct-1845.

Won the Battle Honour: Trafalgar 1805.
