This the second ship to carry the name HMS Swiftsure was a 46-gun
ship.
Built at Deptford, launched 1621, and of 746 tons builders measurement (bm). Rebuilt at Woolwich 1653 as 898 tons bm. Captured by the Dutch 01-Jun-1666. Won the Battle Honour: Santa Cruz 1657 and Lowestoft 1665 and Four Days' Battle 1666.
