This the second ship to carry the name HMS Pathfinder was a P
Class, destroyer. Built by Hawthorn Leslie, laid down 05-Mar-1940, launched 10-Apr-1941, and commissioned 13-Apr-1942. She went to the North Atlantic 1942. Sep-1942 sank U-162 in the Caribbean off Barbados. During 1943 sank U-203 and U-456. Then Jul-1943 it was back to the Mediterranean where she took part in operations for the Sicily landings. In 1944 it was to the Eastern Fleet in the Indian ocean. 11-Feb-1945 was badly damaged off Ramree Island. After makeshift repairs, steamed home declared a constructive total loss and laid up. Used for bombing trials then broken up. Won the Battle Honours: Malta Convoys 1942, North Africa 1942-43, Atlantic 1942-43, Sicily 1943, Salerno 1943, Aegean 1943 and Burma 1944-45.
