This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Northumberland was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built by Barnard of Deptford, launched 02-Feb-1798, 182ft long, 49ft wide and of 1,907 tons builders measurement.

Hulked Feb-1827.

Broken up at Deptford Jul-1850.

Won the Battle Honours: Egypt 1801, San Domingo 1806 and Groix Island 1812.
