Iron Paddle Vessel

    
This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Mohawk was an iron paddle-vessel, used on the Canadian Lakes.

Built by Fairbairn of Limehouse, delivered to Kingston Yard, Ontario and assembled there. Launched 21-Feb-1843, 99ft long, 19ft 6in wide and of 174 tons builders measurement.

Served on Lake Ontario and  Lake Huron.

Lengthened 1846 by 25ft 1½in from a section constructed at Millwall, shipped to Canada and inserted into the existing ship.

Sold 13-Apr-1852.
