This the tenth ship to carry the name HMS Kent was the fourth
County Class guided missile destroyer to enter service with the Royal
Navy.
Built by Harland & Wolff, launched 27-Sep-1961 and completed 1963. Carried the Pennant number D12. Appeared at the Silver Jubilee Review 1977. Used as an alongside training ship from 1980. Sold Sep-1997 for breaking in India and left 14-Nov-1997 under tow.
