HMS Kent (1903) CC  (8th) 

    
This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Kent was an Armoured Cruiser. 

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, laid down 12-Feb-1900, launched 06-Mar-1901, and completed 01-Oct-1903.

On completion joined the Channel Fleet 1903-05, then went to the China Station 1906-13. Returned to the UK and refitted 1913-14. To the SE Coast of America and sank the German light cruiser SMS Nurnberg at the Falkland islands 08-Dec-1914.

With HMS Glasgow, sank the German SMS Dresden at Mas a Fuera, Chile 14-Mar-1915.

Moved on to the Pacific 1915-16, then the Cape Station 1916-18, back to the China Station 1918. To Vladivostok Jan-1919

Sold Jun-1920 at Hong Kong.

Won the Battle Honour: Falkland Islands 1914.
