Wooden Screw Frigate 51-gun

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Forte was a 51-gun, wooden screw frigate. The name ship of a class of five ships.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 29-May-1858, 212ft long, 50ft wide, of 2,364 tons builders measurement and displacing 3,456 tons.

Used as a receiving ship from 1880, then a coal hulk 1894.

Burned in an accident at Sheerness 23-Nov-1905.
