This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Carysfort was a Ca
Class, destroyer. Built by White, laid down 12-May-194, launched 25-Jul-1944, and commissioned 20-Feb-1945. Took part in the last carrier strike of the war 04-May-1945. At the end of WW2 the flotilla went to the East Indies. Then into Reserve 1946. Mid 1950's modernised and rebuilt for ASW duties. Sold 23-Oct-1970 and broken up at Newport.
