This the first ship to carry the name HMS Carysfort was a
sixth rate, 28-gun, ship. Built at Sheerness Dockyard, launched 23-Aug-1766, 118ft 6in long, 34ft wide and of 586 tons builders measurement. Sold 28-Apr-1813.
