This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Adventure was a 4th
rate, 44-gun, ship-of-the-line. Built by Blades of Hull, laid down Nov-1740, launched 01-Oct-1741. Reduced to a fifth Rate, 32-guns 1758. Sold 20-Mar-1770. Won the Battle Honour: Belle Isle 1761.
