This the second ship to carry the name HMS Zulu was a Tribal
Class destroyer. Built by Stephen, laid down 10-Aug-1936, launched 23-Sep-1937, and commissioned 07-Sep-1938. Took part in the Norwegian Campaign then North Sea operations attacking German merchant shipping off the Norwegian coast. The hunt for the Bismarck followed, and as part of the 4th Destroyer Flotilla, went into action against the German ship at the end of the hunt. To the Mediterranean late-1941. On 14-Sep-1942 took part in the same raid on Tobruk when Sikh was sunk close inshore, and Zulu was hit by bombers later the same day. She foundered off Tobruk, 14-Sep-1942, while under tow. Won the Battle Honours: Norway 1940, 'Bismarck' 1941, Atlantic 1941, Malta Convoys 1941-42, Sirte 1942, Mediterranean 1942 and Libya 1942.
