HMS Shannon (1906) CC  (10th)

    
This the tenth ship to carry the name HMS Shannon was an Armoured Cruiser.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, laid down 02-Feb-1905, launched 20-Sep-1906, and completed 10-Mar-1908.

On completion joined the Home Fleet 1908-14. Then on the outbreak of WW1, the Grand Fleet 1914-19. Paid off at Sheerness 1919 and became an accommodation ship to the torpedo school, HMS Actaeon until 1922.

Sold 12-Dec-1922 to McLellan of Bo'ness.

Won the Battle Honour: Jutland 1916.
