This the second ship to carry the name HMS Shannon was a fifth rate, 32-gun, ship.

Constructed of Fir, at Deptford Dockyard, launched 09-Feb-1796, 135ft long, 36ft 6in wide and of 796 tons builders measurement.

Sold May 1802.
