This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Shannon was a fifth rate, 38-gun, ship.

Built by Brindley of Frindsbury, launched 05-May-1806, 150ft long, 40ft wide and of 1,066 tons builders measurement.

Used as a receiving ship from 1832.

Renamed HMS St Lawrence 11-Mar-1844.

Breaking up completed at Chatham 12-Nov-1844.

Won the Battle Honour: 'Chesapeake' 1813.
