4th Rate 50-gun

    
This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Severn was a 4th rate 50-gun, ship.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 24-Jan-1856, 180ft long, 50ft wide and of 1,986 tons builders measurement.

Conversion to a Wooden Screw Frigate completed 08-Feb-1860, as 2,767 tons builders measurement.

Broken up 1876.
