HMS Scylla (1892) CC  (3rd)

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Scylla  was a second class cruiser.

Built by Samuda of Poplar, laid down 1890,  launched 17-Oct-1891, and completed 1892.

On completion went into reserve at Chatham 1892-96. Served in the Mediterranean 1896-99, then returned to the UK at Chatham 1900-04. RNR Drill Ship at Harwich 1904-05. With the Newfoundland Fisheries 1905-06. Back to the UK and into reserve 1907. To the 4th Cruiser Squadron at the America & West Indies Squadron 1905-11.

Paid off 1912.

Sold 02-Apr-1914.
