Wooden Screw Corvette

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Scylla  was a wooden screw corvette.

Built at Sheerness Dockyard, launched 19-Jun-1856. 200ft long, 40ft 6in wide and of 1,467 tons builders measurement, displacing 2,187 tons. Armed with 20 x 8in and 1 x 68pdr guns.

Sold to Castle 07-Nov-1882 for breaking up.
