Wooden Screw Sloop 17-gun

    
This the twelfth ship to carry the name HMS Pelican was a 17-gun, wooden screw sloop.

Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 19-Jul-1860, 18ft long, 33ft wide and of 952 tons builders measurement. Armed with 5 x 40pdr and 12 x 32pdr guns.

Sold Feb-1867  to Arthur & Co and renamed Hawk.

Resold to the Portuguese Navy and renamed Infanta Dom Henrique.
