This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Pelican was a sixth rate, 24 gun, ship.

Built by Adams & Barnard of Deptford, launched 24-Apr-1777, 114ft 6in long, 22ft wide and of 520 tons builders measurement.

Foundered off Jamaica 02-Aug-1781.

Won the Battle Honour: Quebec 1759 and St. Lucia 1778.
