This the second ship to carry the name HMS Loyal was an L
Class, destroyer. Built by Scotts, laid down 23-Nov-1938, launched 08-Oct-1941, and commissioned 31-Oct-1942. On commissioning went to the Mediterranean and the 19th Destroyer Flotilla, where she remained for the rest of the war. Broken up shortly after war ended. Won the Battle Honours: Sicily 1943, Salerno 1943, Mediterranean 1943, Anzio 1944, Adriatic 1944.
