HMS Jupiter (1813) (2nd)

This the second ship to carry the name HMS Jupiter was a fourth
rate, 50-gun, ship-of-the-line. Built at Plymouth Dockyard, launched 22-Nov-1813, 150ft long, 42ft wide and of 1,173 tons builders measurement. Used as a troopship from Nov-1837. Reduced to a coal hulk Apr-1846. Breaking up completed at Devonport 28-Jan-1870. Won the Battle Honour: China 1841-42. |
