This the seventeenth ship to carry the name HMS Hunter was a Tank Landing Ship, originally LST 3042.

Built by Harland & Wolff of Govan, launched 31-Jan-1945.

Renamed HMS Hunter 1947.

Transferred to Ministry of Trade and renamed Empire Curlew 1956.

Broken up at Spezia 1962.
