HMS Highflyer (1851) (3rd)

This the third ship to carry the name HMS Highflyer was a
21-gun, wooden screw frigate. Built by Mare of Blackwall, launched 13-Aug-1851, 192ft long, 36ft 6in wide and of 1,153 tons builders measurement. Armed with 1 x 10 and 20 x 8in guns. Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1853. Broken up at Plymouth May-1871. Won the Battle Honours: Crimea 1854-55 and China 1856-60.
