HMS Hector (1864) BB  (9th)

    
This the ninth vessel to carry the name HMS Hector was the name ship of a class of two ironclad screw battleships.

Built by Napier, launched 26-Sep-1862, commissioned Feb-1864.

HMS Hector spent her first commission in the Channel 1864-67.
After which she spent the remainder of her career in Southern Reserve until being paid off in 1886. 

Sold 11-Jul-1905 for breaking up.
