This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Hector was a fifth rate, 44-gun ship.

Built by Burchett of Rotherhithe, launched 20-Feb-1743, 116ft 6in long, 31ft wide and of 493 tons builders measurement (bm).

Rebuilt at Plymouth 1721 as 607 tons bm.

Broken up 1742.
