Wooden Paddle Frigate 16-gun

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Furious was a 16-gun, wooden paddle frigate.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 26-Aug-1850, 210ft long, 36ft wide and displacing 1,287 tons. Armed with 2 x 110pdr 4 x 40pdr and 10 x 32pdr guns.

Used as a coal hulk from Mar-1867.

Sold 1884.

Won the Battle Honours: Crimea 1854-55 and China 1856-60.
