      This the fifteenth ship to carry the name HMS Fox was a 2nd 
		Class, Protected Cruiser. Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, laid down 1891, launched 15-Jun-1893 and completed 14-Apr-1896. On completion went to the Cape Station 1896-99, with a detachment to Sierra Leone 1898-99. Then back to the UK at Portsmouth 1899-1901. To the East Indies Station 1901-06 and returned to Portsmouth 1906-07. To Haulbowline 1907-08. To the East Indies Station 1908-14. Shortly after the start of WW1, captured two German merchantmen of Colombo Aug-1914. Then served at East Africa and Egypt 1915-17, the Red Sea 1917-18. Final service was a change of climate at Archangel 1919. Returned to the UK and was sold 1920.
