This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Despatch was a
12-gun, brig. Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 25-Nov-1851, 105ft long, 33ft 6in wide and of 483 tons builders measurement. Renamed CGWV 24/Cadmus 25-May-1863. Sold 13-May-1901 at Sheerness.
