HMS Despatch (1804) (4th)

This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Despatch was a
Cruizer Class, 18-gun, brig-sloop. Built by Symons of Falmouth, laid down Apr-1803, launched 26-May-1804. With HMS Canopus took the French ship La President (40-gun) 27-Sep-1806 in the Bay of Biscay. Took the privateer La Dorade (4-gun) in Jamaican waters 02-Oct-1811. Paid off Sep-1811 and broken up at Plymouth.
