This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Argus was a coastguard vessel.

Built by Bow McLachlan, launched 06-Dec-1904, 130ft long 23ft wide and displacing 380 tons. Armed with 2 x 6pdr guns.

Renamed HMS Argon 1918.
