This the second ship to carry the name HMS Argus was an
18-gun, brig-sloop. Built by Hill of Portsmouth, launched 11-Sep-1813, of 387 tons builders measurement. First sold 11-Jul-1827, but sale cancelled. Resold 26-Mar-1828.
