HMS Agamemnon (1781)  (1st)
3rd Rate 64-gun

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Agamemnon was a third rate, 64-gun ship of the line.

Built by Adams of Bucklers Hard, launched 10-Apr-1781, 160ft long, 45ft wide and of 1,384 tons builders measurement.

Fought at the battle of Trafalgar where she suffered light damage with 2 killed and seven wounded of her crew.  (see: Fleets after the Battle).

Wrecked at the River Plate 16-Jun-1809.

Won the Battle Honours: Ushant 1781, The Saints 1782, Genoa 1785, Copenhagen 1801, Trafalgar 1805 and San Domingo 1806.
