HMS Yarmouth (1912) CC  (5th)

    
This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Yarmouth was a second class cruiser.

Built by London & Glasgow Co of Govan, laid down 27-Jan-1910, launched 12-Apr-1911, and completed Apr-1912.

On completion joined the Home Fleet 1912-13. Then went to the China Station 1913-14. Returned to the UK and joined the Grand Fleet Dec-1914 and remained there until 1919.

Moved to the Cape Station 1919 as Flagship for a short time. Refitted 1919. To the South America Station 1919-20.

Returned to the UK and went into reserve 1020-22. Attached to the Signal School at Portsmouth 1922-24. Refitted 1924-25, used for trooping duties 1925-17. Returned to the Signal School at Portsmouth 1927, and final active duty was as Flagship Submarines at Falmouth 1928.

Sold 02-Jul-1929.

Won the Battle Honour: Jutland 1916.
