HMS Valentine (1917) DD  (2nd)

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Valentine was a V & W Class, destroyer leader.

Built by Cammell Laird, laid down 07-Aug-1916, launched 24-Mar-1917 and completed 27-Jun-1917.

Converted to a destroyer escort May-1940.

Attacked by air 15-May-1940 and beached at the mouth of the River Schelde.

Broken up 1953.

Won the Battle Honour: Atlantic 1939.
