HMS Tiger (1914) BC  (11th)

      
This the eleventh vessel to carry the name HMS Tiger was a single ship class of battlecruiser.

Built by John Brown Shipyard on the Clyde HMS Tiger was laid down in Jun-1912, launched 15-Dec-1913 and completed in Oct-1914.

She served with the Grand Fleet for all of WW1. Was in action at Dogger Bank where she was hit several times, including damage to B turret. Was also in action at Jutland where she received 21 hits, including some on A, Q, and X turrets, which took two months to repair.

Joined the Battlecruiser Squadron, Atlantic Fleet 1919-22, and again 1929-31. Between these spells she was a gunnery training ship.

Sold 1932.

Won the Battle Honours: Dogger Bank 1915 and Jutland 1916.
