HMS Teazer (1943) DD  (8th)

    
This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Teazer was a T Class, destroyer

Built by Cammell Laird, laid down 20-Oct-1941, launched 07-Jan-1943, and commissioned 13-Sep-1943.

On completion formed the 24th Destroyer Flotilla with her sister ships and went to the Mediterranean.

Spent time in the Aegean Sea, then 1944 to the Pacific for the British Pacific Fleet, and operations against the Japanese. Ending the war with operations off the Japanese mainland.

Converted to a Type 16 frigate, Feb-1952 with the pennant number F23 and an increased displacement of 2,200 tons.

Paid off and put on the disposal list Sep-1961.

Arrived at Dalmuir for breaking up 07-Aug-1965.

Won the Battle Honours: Mediterranean 1943, Adriatic 1944, South France 1944 and Aegean 1944.
