| This
the sixth Emergency Flotilla of the 1941 Construction programme was a repeat
of the previous S Class, except they were not "Arcticised". On completion
they formed the 24th Destroyer Flotilla and went to the Mediterranean.
They remained there until late 1944 when they were transferred the Pacific with the British Pacific Fleet. They formed part of the screen for that Fleet, and took part in the carrier raid on Truk. Then the final carrier raids on the Japanese mainland, with most of the flotilla in Japanese waters when war ended.
