This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Serapis was an S
Class, destroyer. Built by Scotts, laid down 14-Aug-1941, 25-Apr-1943, and commissioned 23-Dec-1943. Transferred to the Dutch Navy shortly before completion and renamed Piet Hein. Arrived at Ghent 30-May-1962 for breaking up. Won the Battle Honours: Normandy 1944 and Arctic 1944-45.
