This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Scorpion was a Cherokee Class, 10-gun, brig-sloop.

Built at Plymouth Dockyard, launched 28-Jul-1832.

Used as a Survey vessel 1848, then loaned to the Thames Police 03-Mar-1858.

Breaking up completed by 17-Oct-1874 at Chatham.
