3rd Rate 74-gun

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Russell was a third rate, 74-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 22-May-1822, having spent eight years on the stocks, 176ft 6in long, 48ft wide and of 1,751 tons builders measurement.

Conversion to a screw ship completed 02-Feb-1855.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Broken up 1865.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1855.
