HMS Penelope (1914) CC  (6th)

    
This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Penelope was a light cruiser.

Built by Vickers of Barrow, laid down 01-Feb-1913, launched 25-Aug-1914, and completed 10-Dec-1914.

On completion joined the Harwich Force 1915-18. Damaged 25-Apr-1916 by torpedo fired by UB-29 of the Norfolk coast.

To the Grand Fleet 1918-19. Went into reserve 1919-21.

Listed for disposal 1921.

Sold Oct-1924 to Stanlee of Dover.
