HMS Nelson (1814) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Nelson was a first rate,
120-gun, ship-of-the-line. Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 04-Jul-1814, 205ft long, 44ft wide and of 2,617 tons builders measurement (bm). Conversion to a screw ship completed 02-Feb-1860, with an increased tonnage of 2,736 tons bm and guns reduced to 90. Handed over to the New South Wales Government Feb-1867. Sold 28-Apr-1898 as a store hulk, and later used as a coal hulk. Broken up at Launceston Sep-1928.
