HMS Narcissus (1889) CC  (4th)

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Narcissus was a 2nd Class Armoured Cruiser.

Built by Earle Hull, laid down 27-Apr-1884, launched 15-Dec-1886, and completed Jul-1889.

On completion  went into reserve at Chatham 1889-92. Then to the Channel Squadron 1892-94, duty at Portsmouth followed.

Out to the China Station 1895-99.

Returned to the UK at Portsmouth 1899-1901.

Used as a tender to HMS Excellent as Gunnery Training Ship at Portsmouth 1901-05.

Sold 1906.
