This the twelfth ship to carry the name HMS Mercury was a fifth rate, 46-gun, ship.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 16-Nov-1826, 152 ft long, 40ft 6in wide and of 1,084 tons builders measurement.

Used as a coal hulk from 1861.

Sold 03-Apr-1906.
