HMS Melampus (1785) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Melampus was a fifth
rate, 36-gun, ship. Built by Hillhouse of Bristol, launched 08-Jun-1785, 141ft long, 39ft wide and of 947 tons builders measurement. Sold Jun-1815 to the Dutch Navy. Won the Battle Honours: Donegal 1798 and Guadeloupe 1810.
